Mission

The year is 2020 and the world is on hold waiting for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. One man, Dr. Eric Clark, top of his class in medical school and leading researcher in infectious disease, has been working tirelessly to discover a vaccine for the virus that has its grips on the world. Seemingly endless days and late nights have brought Eric to the verge of developing this long-awaited vaccine...but he recently noticed a suspicious car parked outside his lab. He thought he saw the same car parked near his house as well. One night, while alone in his lab, Eric is kidnapped by villains attempting to steal his secret vaccine formula for their own fame and fortune.

You are members of a specialized group of detectives, brought in to investigate Dr. Clark's disappearance. Using your astute eye and keen problem solving skills, you will decipher the clues and bring Dr. Clark home safely. 

How to

Play

Details and Requirements: ​

• Access to the game is by monetary donation to Food Banks Canada through our website (click here to donate)

• **You will receive a thank you email from FOOD BANKS CANADA after completing your donation (subject: Thank you for your donation!). The access code is the third word of the second paragraph.**

• The game will begin once the access code is entered

• There is no time limit (expected time to completion is 60 - 90 minutes)

• Group size can range from 1-6 players. If playing virtually we recommend Zoom or any other application with screen sharing capabilities

• You will need internet access 

• In order to access all clues, you will need an e-mail, Facebook, and Instagram account (one per group)

• Each clue (piece of evidence in the evidence package) is used ONLY ONCE

• Ensure audio is turned ON

• The experience is not suitable for phone or tablet devices

Before COVID-19, food banks across Canada saw over one million visits to food banks each month. Since the crisis began, more people are turning to food banks to keep food on the table – many for the first time.

While we are being told to stock up on supplies during this challenging time, people who struggle with food insecurity do not have that privilege. With food donations decreasing, reduced volunteers and people filling their own pantries, food banks are struggling to keep their doors open for their communities.

That is why we are raising money for Food Banks Canada. They have the reach to provide food and funds to a network of 650 food banks across the country during this critical time. Please support us if you can. Every gift helps!
